i’m not totally in love with this dudes music, but m ward is mind blowingly creative…with vision…he pushes the limits of creativity without rules…has kind of a visionary producer like thing going on….and any one that will take some made-up taoist phrasing and turn it into an alternative folky song is alright by me. “chinese translation” doesn’t really suck you in right when you hear it…listen to it ..

really i’ve been wondering the same things myself… but that’s not my point…my point is…pictures with music…you can take one thing that’s alright and with another layer turn it into something just right. vice versa that’s movies. dialogue, images and add music. makes you think about what’s being said. so music is the spice…in music videos music is the main entree…in this case the pictures are the spices that bring out the flavor of the main entree. what am i saying? i’m saying i now like this song after seeing that video. that’s what i’m saying.

some of my friends have complained that they can no longer see my site. sorry dudes! keep trying… guru jay turned on some privacy features (privacy on the net? that’s what I said too)…..anyway….they seem to be on overdrive….
who are these people that make these music video things for youtube and actually take the time to upload them too? who has the time or the inclination? are they doing it for me or for themselves? i ponder these irrelevant thoughts. i don’t know one person who has ever done this, but everyone i know relies on these good people……i am a bad person in youtube land. a taker. a user. a do no gooder.

yesterday we went over to my friend Liz’s house up on coldwater canyon…..mack went swimming in the pool….It’s always fun to see him swim because I can’t figure out if he’s way into it or if he’s scared shitless….but when he gets out he looks like a rat….a little skinny rat…..hair makes a big difference. the only problem with him swimming is he gets dreadlocks….and then his fabulous groomer has to dematt him and that’s not fun for either of them…so yeah, as i was saying, he ran around, played in the grass, played with her niece that came over and so on……. liz was having a meeting at her house later that night….and one of the ladies who arrived early before i left brought her rescue pitbull….a gorgeous gray colored pit bull female. Kind of scary looking but stunning….
yes yes. oh yes he did. the mack went there. my fluffy white little macaroon tried to hump the pit bull. he’s the man!!!!
speaking of dreads….when i was younger i was all about reggae….i did it all…..reggae on the river….reggae sunsplash….dancehall was my favorite…i even went to jamaica in search of all the rarest records…that was kind of scary…anyway…reggae is all about summer isn’t it? you don’t imagine people skiing and listening to reggae. you imagine them surfing and laying in the sun listening to reggae. yo people seriously need to listen to some more reggae…..here: one of my favorite reggae artists of all time and one of my favorite songs……
